Executive Management

The Inovis management team is made up of a diverse group of industry veterans and experts who are dedicated to leveraging their B2B experience to benefit your company and your business trading partner community.

Sean Feeney, President and Chief Executive Officer
Sean Feeney The way I see it, my job is to make sure everyone else at Inovis can do their job as effectively and efficiently as possible. My personal motto, which I've shared with the folks here, is "Think. Decide. Act." (And if things go well, it usually happens in that order.) I sometimes have to step in and make some tough decisions, but I've found that when you give people the tools they need to be successful, they will step up to the plate.

Prior to joining Inovis, I served in several roles during my tenure at CheckFree Corporation, including executive vice president; president of CheckFree Software; general manager of American Payment Systems; and executive vice president of sales. Between 2000 and 2002, I served as chief operating officer of Clarus Corporation, an Atlanta-based e-procurement software company, and OneSource Relocation.

However, I would have to say it was my experience in college as a basketball and hockey play-by-play guy that really helped me learn how to think on my feet. And my Army background comes in particularly handy in terms of getting people motivated to achieve. Once you've motivated 150 cold, wet and tired soldiers at 3:00 am in a snowstorm about their next objective, motivating employees at a tech company seems easy in comparison. When asked if being a CEO goes to my head, I can confidently respond that my two college-age daughters manage to keep me humble on almost a daily basis.

The best way to get me talking is to bring up the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Duke basketball or Army and Notre Dame football. The best way to reach me is via email at sean.feeney@inovis.com. I haven't gotten into instant messaging yet, but I carry my BlackBerry 24/7.

James "Jim" Eberle, Chief Operating Officer
Jim EberleI oversee the "revenue engine" for Inovis. This includes operations, product and technology, implementations and customer support. I'm the one held responsible for driving peak performance across Inovis' infrastructure. From the availability of our network to customer support responsiveness, my team and I work to ensure that Inovis consistently delivers the quality and efficiency our customers expect. My principal obsession is to ensure that the component parts of Inovis work well together in a predictive, reliable manner with the goal of continuous improvement in all our processes.

Most recently, I was CEO and co-founder of Mentora, which helps companies test, deliver, host and maintain high-quality, high availability and high performance business applications. Prior to Mentora, I held senior management positions at AppGenesys, Dun & Bradstreet and Control Data Corporation. At each of those organizations, I established a track record for driving improved performance across all business units and establishing quality and consistency in the delivery of service.

As head of my alumni charitable group (West Point Charitable Enterprises of Atlanta), I remain actively engaged in junior leadership development by helping to raise money and sponsor youth development activities throughout the metropolitan area. My other interests outside of work center around digital photography, dogs, cooking, reading and following my two favorite professional sports teams from the NY area—the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Within this gruff exterior hides a fun-loving professional who enjoys helping people make the most out of life. I have a sign in my office at home that reads, "Lord help me to be the person my dog thinks I am." You can reach me at jim.eberle@inovis.com.

John Redfern, Managing Director, Inovis UK and Freeway Commerce
John Redfern My role as Managing Director of Inovis (UK) and Freeway Commerce encompasses all aspects of our UK company growth, service offering, and ensuring our ultimate profitability. For me the central part of this position is about people—ensuring that we deliver what our customers want and also keeping staff happy. Inovis' success has been as a result of a large and loyal workforce many of whom, like me, have over a decade of experience. We value this longevity of employees and can take forward this expertise as we embrace the exciting new opportunity with Freeway Commerce.

During my time with Inovis I have worked in all aspects of operations, sales and client services (even early client installations). Roles from Account Manager, Support Management through to Senior Director for Client Services, to being appointed in my current position two years ago, have helped me to recognise the important part that each and every employee can contribute to the company's overall success (or failure!).

My earlier career includes over 11 years in IT operations for Duracell Batteries and later role as project manager for an IBM technology 'Roadshow' across Europe, culminating in the running of the solution for the Atlanta Olympic Games.

Out of the office, I try to balance the demands of business with time spent with my family. As a lover of many sports—golf, squash, cycling—my passion is football, in particularly West Ham United.

Erik Huddleston, Chief Technology Officer
Erik Huddleston As Chief Technology Officer for Inovis, I drive the vision for the company's software applications and technology platform. I came to Inovis in 2007 from the acquisition of BetweenMarkets, an on-demand partner performance management software company I founded in 1999 and served as CTO. Prior to BetweenMarkets, I architected consumer and retail analytics products at two enterprise software startups: eCustomers, a retail merchandising software provider; and SMART Technologies, a supply chain software provider acquired by i2 Technologies.

I am passionate about solving customer problems with innovative technology and spend virtually all my time with customers and prospects helping them understand how to leverage business community management software in their extended enterprise. I am an avid Agile Development evangelist, so if I cannot solve your problem today, check back in two weeks.

Like the rest of the Inovis team, I am avid about sports (particularly Texas sports) and closely follow football from high school (my wife teaches math at two time, defending state champions Liberty Hill, TX) through professional (Dallas Cowboys). My main love is the 2005 NCAA National Champion Texas Longhorns.

If you have any questions, you can reach me at my Inovis email—erik.huddleston@inovis.com. However, as the CTO, you can also reach me on LinkedIn, Facebook, Plaxo, Twitter, most other social networks, and every major IM network. If you want to meet in person, track me on TripIt or go to any major airport's American Airlines Admiral's Club. If I am not there, just wait a few minutes. I'll be by shortly.

Paul Trotti, Vice President, Human Resources
Paul Trotti My job is all about the people who make Inovis the leading B2B technology company it is today. My role is to nurture, retain and reward those employees, so they can keep doing what they do best. I do that by overseeing and managing employee performance development programs, comprehensive benefits and, probably most important to some, a fair compensation plan. I also play an active part in recruiting and hiring Inovis employees, making sure the people we bring in will contribute to an ongoing culture that supports Inovis' core values.

Prior to Inovis, I was the vice president of human resources at the Winter Group of Companies in Atlanta, Georgia, where I was a member of the executive team that reorganized the companies. My tenure at Winter followed a rewarding career in the US Army, from which I retired as a colonel in 1998. My military service included infantry command and staff assignments in Germany, the Republic of Korea, Panama, the Middle East and various posts in the United States. Additionally, I spent a tour teaching at my alma mater, the United States Military Academy at West Point.

My vision is to develop every manager at Inovis to be a leader. I am convinced that we would be even more successful if we ran this organization like the Army. For some reason, however, Sean won't let me introduce mandatory physical training at 6:00 am. Interested in a future at Inovis? Contact me at paul.trotti@inovis.com and tell me what you can bring to the organization.

Gary Walsh, Senior Vice President, Sales
Paul Trotti I get to enable the sales team at Inovis and that allows all of us on the team to become the voice of the customer. So much success comes from our ability to engage our customers and allow them to communicate the needs of their business that our solutions will best address. Being committed to understanding how we can help our customers operate faster, easier, cheaper and safer is core to our mutual success. I am fortunate to be surrounded by thousands of first class customers and associates focused on delivering quality solutions that meet and exceed our customers' objectives.

Prior to Inovis, I was the Vice President of Sales, Service Providers for Sterling Commerce. I began my career at Mellon Bank and have also held sales and sales management positions at Dynasales and SunGard.

My free time is spent with my family or on my quest to master the game of golf. Despite reading everything written and accepting all advice on the game I have yet come close but stay firmly committed. Born and raised in Pittsburgh—I bleed Black & Gold and love all sports. I come highly recommended as a smart, fair, and fun person—ask either of my two young daughters! Most importantly I look forward to helping our customers in every way possible. You can reach me at gary.walsh@inovis.com.

Kenneth Williams, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President
Kenneth Williams I am responsible for managing the financial and related operational structure of the company along with running the company's M&A practice. During my time at Inovis, I successfully restructured Inovis' financial operations and health, resulting in nearly a 300% improvement in the company's EBITDA margin over three years. I also played a key role in the acquisition and integration of IPNet and QRS, both of which contributed significantly to our product portfolio with leading B2B communication and data synchronization solutions, respectively.

Prior to Inovis, working on behalf of Noro-Mosely Partners, I served as the interim CFO and M&A lead for Sarcon Microsystems and DigitalOwl.com. I also served as the interim CFO and sell-side lead for CarrierPoint, resulting in a favorable disposition of the company. Prior roles include serving as vice president of Finance for Ockham Technologies, CFO of MeasureUp, which sold for 60x the initial investment, and a senior analyst at KPMG. My responsibilities have spanned both accounting and financial planning and analysis. I also have extensive experience guiding organizations through fundraising, acquisition, contract negotiation and management and liquidation activities. I hold a registered and active CPA license issued by the state of Georgia.

I am a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, twice over. I would consider myself a devout Georgia Bulldawg fan and attend the vast majority of the home games along with making the annual pilgrimage to Jacksonville, Florida. It is my goal to retire in Italy and teach at a local university there, and I am always looking for great real estate deals in the Toscana and Veneto regions. Above all, I want to make sure that all of our customers have their financial needs attended to in an expedient manner. Thus, please feel free to contact me ken.williams@inovis.com if I can be of any assistance.
