Inovis No Novice at B2B Enablement

Former Harbinger and Extricity Businesses Form New Company

ATLANTA (September 9, 2002) — Inovis, a new company, launched today with a continued focus on the rapid enablement of private trading networks and B2B communities. The new company is a result of the completed acquisition of the profitable Supply Chain Enablement (SCE) division of Inovis, comprised of former Harbinger and Extricity businesses, by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital in June. Cerberus Capital Management and Parallax Capital Partners participated with Golden Gate Capital in the transaction.

Although the name is new, Inovis has an 18-year history beginning with Harbinger’s formation in 1984. Inovis is already well-established, with more than 500 employees worldwide and over $100 million in annual revenues. It provides B2B solutions to over 20,000 customers, including global trading community access to approximately 90 percent of the Fortune 500.

Inovis offers deep domain expertise and end-to-end capabilities for building, managing and growing trading communities.

"For many companies, the cost and complexity of building and managing e-business relationships have been substantial," said Inovis President and CEO Dave Williams, a 19-year industry veteran with e-commerce and enterprise software expertise. "Our sole focus is to help trading partners of all sizes extend their e-commerce reach in an efficient and cost- effective manner. We are strengthened by our large, existing customer base, our robust solution set and nearly two decades of B2B experience."

As a single-source provider of complete solutions for business community enablement, Inovis will deliver business process management, data transformation (EDI/XML), network connectivity and a range of value-added services. Inovis operates the global trading community, Get2Connect, which enables over 1.4 million transactions each business day.

Other mainstay products and services offered through Inovis include TrustedLink, Power.Enterprise! and Power.Commerce!, Alliance Manager and Web Commerce. Inovis is also investing to develop new business community enablement offerings, including those based on J2EE and Web Services.

These capabilities allow companies to focus on their core business by entrusting Inovis to handle B2B enablement through traditional technology integration or reliable managed outsourced services.

The Inovis executive team and senior staff consist of both Harbinger and Extricity talent. Key executives have an average of over 19 years of broad based technology and e-commerce industry knowledge. In addition to the experience of the management team, Inovis employees’ average tenure with the firm is five years, bringing area-specific expertise and continuity to the company.

Inovis is headquartered in Atlanta, with major US offices in Dallas and the San Francisco Bay area. European sites include Guildford and Manchester, UK and Karlsruhe, Germany.
