Inovis First to be Awarded RosettaNet Ready™ Compliance Badge for RNIF 2.0

Inovis Continues to Drive Technology Industry Adoption of RosettaNet Standards

ATLANTA (January 15, 2003) — Inovis™, an enabler of B2B communities, today announced it is the first to achieve software compliance with the RosettaNet Implementation Framework v2.0. The RosettaNet Ready™ badge designation applies to the inovis:Process v4.7 business process enablement software.

The RosettaNet Ready Program delivers the tools and services required to measure software compliance with the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) and select Partner Interface Process® (PIPs®). Designed to enable low-cost implementation testing solutions, these tools and services provide a common benchmark platform to measure a software product’s adherence to RosettaNet specifications. The RosettaNet Ready Software Compliance Badge Testing Service verifies products for compliance — providing an objective measurement to differentiate products “ready” for RosettaNet trading partner implementations.

The badge award denotes compliance with RNIF v2.0 standard for the inovis:Process v4.7 software product, which provides network connectivity, data transformation, and business process integration and management for trading partners.

Comprised of former Harbinger and Extricity businesses, Inovis has a strong linkage to the RosettaNet high technology consortium. Through this history, Inovis is aligned with many of RosettaNet’s key development initiatives, including participation in the creation and validation of critical e-business process standards, as well as a strong track record of more than 45 RosettaNet implementations with industry leaders such IBM, Motorola, Sharp, TSMC and Tyco.

“RosettaNet compliance testing demonstrates our strong support of RosettaNet standards in achieving B2B efficiencies and interoperability within the high-tech and electronics industries,” said Inovis President and CEO Dave Williams. “We are thrilled to be acknowledged as the premiere recipient of the RNIF 2.0 badge award.”

“As the first company to receive a RosettaNet Ready Software Compliance Badge for RNIF 2.0, Inovis is helping to drive the high tech industry toward interoperability in the marketplace,” said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. “On behalf of the RosettaNet community worldwide, we are pleased to recognize Inovis, a valued Board Member, for this important achievement and welcome their continued leadership and commitment in 2003 and beyond.”

The RNIF core specification is the packaging, routing, and transport of all PIP messages and business signals. The standard supports intermediaries such as e-marketplaces and exchanges, accommodates complex multi-document business messages and contains additional provisions for authenticity, privacy and non-repudiation.

In order to achieve this distinction, Inovis successfully completed extensive testing requirements administered by Drake Certivo, Inc., a designated neutral third-party that verifies whether a software solution has passed compliance testing for RosettaNet standards using RosettaNet-defined tools and methodology.
