Inovis Expands EDI/XML Capabilities In TrustedLink Enterprise 6.0
New Version Extends Transaction Processing and Scalable Performance
ATLANTA (March 17, 2003) — Inovis™, an enabler of B2B communities, today released eV6.0 of
TrustedLink Enterprise, its award-winning EDI data transformation software for the UNIX and Windows 2000 platforms (formerly TrustedLink UNIX/NT Edition). The new version addresses diverse B2B trading requirements and now features robust inbound and outbound XML support.
TrustedLink Enterprise enables companies to manage their critical data transformation processes with trading partners using a range of data formats. The new version integrates the advanced XML mapping capabilities of
inovis:Catalyst (formerly Power.Enterprise!).
“EDI remains a pivotal technology for the majority of companies doing business electronically,” said Gartner Research Analyst Frank Kenney. “Data transformation products that deliver broad support for data formats and standards help companies to protect their existing EDI investments while being able to more easily extend their e-business reach.”
TrustedLink Enterprise eV6.0 is built on a new, more flexible architecture that delivers future product extensibility and significant improvements in the areas of performance and throughput. Based on Inovis benchmarking results, customers can expect to see substantial improvements in throughput of up to 3x processing speed over prior versions of TrustedLink Enterprise, which were already industry performance leaders. Individual results will vary based on data characteristics and system configuration.
“This new release of TrustedLink Enterprise underscores our commitment to extend the product with new capabilities for trading community integration and expansion,” said Mitch Myers, senior vice president of product delivery at Inovis. “eV6.0 delivers on a number of important customer requests for extended EDI/XML capabilities and enhanced performance.”
TrustedLink Enterprise eV6.0 also offers organizations the tools they need to comply with industry-specific initiatives. UCCnet-certified pre-built “map packs” are available, facilitating UCCnet trading for companies in the retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries. For health care provider and payer organizations, a validation module, embedded into eV6.0, ensures that every inbound and outbound transaction is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA).
TrustedLink Enterprise is used by large and mid-size organizations with thousands of electronically enabled trading partners. In addition to the full-featured version, TrustedLink Enterprise eV6.0 also marks the availability of tiered product functionality and pricing structures to suit the needs of smaller organizations, including those requiring only basic EDI data transformation capabilities. This new flexible bundling approach allows customers to start with a limited set of features and then scale the solution as their e-commerce trading community and requirements grow.
"Upon evaluation of several translation tools, TrustedLink Enterprise eV6.0 was by far the most reliable and flexible. The Operations Center allows for multiple user access granting us the ability to maintain processes and set up new trading partners in real time. The latest release allows multiple and simultaneous mapping and Inovis had the most timely customer service," said Brant Meink, Manager of Information Exchange for Werner Enterprises (Werner VAS). "With this release, we will be able to meet our customer demands in the shortest amount of time possible."
Like all Inovis B2B solutions, TrustedLink Enterprise eV6.0 can be purchased as either a customer-licensed software application or on a subscription basis as an
inovis:Dialog managed service offering.
