New Director of Sales Strengthens QRS European Team
RICHMOND, Calif.
– April 24, 2003 – QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI) today announced its appointment of Bob Skeens to the role of Sales Director, Northern Europe. Skeens brings a wealth of IT sales knowledge to the position, with achievements in aggressive growth strategies and sales cycle management for MicroStrategy, a leading business intelligence and customer relationship management provider.
In his new role, Skeens is responsible for building on QRS' success in the UK and European markets. He is tasked with replicating the company's success in the American retail technology industry through European sales of QRS Catalogue™, a data synchronization application that allows manufacturers and suppliers to synchronize current, accurate product information on more than 90 million items.
Commenting on his appointment, Skeens said: "I look forward to driving QRS' performance and success in the Northern European markets. I chose this position at QRS because of the company's technology strengths and the great opportunity for growth in the region."
Prior to QRS, Skeens spent six years at MicroStrategy, where he successfully grew the business by 30 percent over previous fiscal years and brokered large retail deals including Marks & Spencer, B&Q, Sainsburys and WHSmith.
