Inovis Appoints Ilaria Derr President and Chief Operating Officer
Industry Veteran Brings Track Record of Building Strong Companies,
Delivering Global Results
ATLANTA, GA., September 16, 2003 — Inovis, a provider of business commerce automation solutions, today announced that Ilaria Derr has joined the company as its new president and chief operating officer. Ms. Derr’s proven leadership skills and depth of experience in the software industry will contribute significantly to Inovis as the company continues to build its management strength, expand its industry expertise and accelerate its growth in the quickly evolving business commerce automation market.

Most recently, Ms. Derr was COO for Alogent, a privately held technology company providing payment processing solutions for global financial institutions and remittance processors. Under Ms. Derr’s leadership, significant revenue growth was achieved for Alogent while building an operation focused on delivery and customer satisfaction. Alogent was named to both the Inc 500 Fastest Growing Companies and Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 based on the company’s successful record of growth and execution.
Jim Schaper, Inovis’ chairman and chief executive officer, added, “Ilaria brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company. She is a seasoned executive with outstanding operational expertise and established credibility in the software industry. Prior to Alogent, Ms. Derr was COO of Ockham Technologies, an early stage technology company providing web-based software solutions for sales management automation. She provided executive leadership to secure over $10M investment funding, built a grass roots management team and lead strategy and implementation fueling the company’s revenue, product and infrastructure growth.
Additionally, Ms. Derr held several senior management roles in large to medium corporations including vice president of Marketing, vice president of Operations at Harland, a publicly held financial marketing services company and executive manager of Supplier Quality and Productivity, executive manager of Spare Parts and Services at GE, as well as a number of other management positions at GE’s Power Systems and Aircraft Engines businesses.
