QRS Adds Retail Supply Chain Leader to Board of Directors

RICHMOND, CA – September 25, 2003 – QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI) today announced that Chuck Crovitz has joined the QRS board of directors.

Mr. Crovitz has been a retail industry leader for more than 20 years. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer for Gap Inc., one of the world's largest specialty retailers. During his 10 years at Gap, Mr. Crovitz had responsibility for global supply chain management, information technology and sourcing, and oversaw the distribution of over 1 billion units worldwide.

Before joining Gap, Mr. Crovitz spent almost a decade at Safeway Inc., one of the largest food and drug retailers in North America. At Safeway, Mr. Crovitz held senior, strategic positions on both the marketing and technology sides of the business. Prior to Safeway, Mr. Crovitz was with McKinsey & Company, a leading global strategic management consulting firm, where he led client service teams in retailing and personal computing industries. Mr. Crovitz holds an M.B.A. and J.D. from Stanford University.

"Chuck Crovitz's impressive background and the breadth of his experience in the retail and grocery segments will make him a key advisor to QRS as we continue to execute on our strategies for growth," said Liz Fetter, President and CEO of QRS. "He brings a deep understanding of how technology can effectively solve the critical issues facing the retail industry, and we are pleased to welcome him to the QRS board."

"I'm honored to be joining the QRS board," said Mr. Crovitz. "This company understands the challenges of the retail industry, and I look forward to being involved as QRS seeks to become the retail industry's market leader for collaborative commerce solutions."

Mr. Crovitz will fill a vacant board seat resulting from the retirement of Phil Schlein. A QRS director since 1996, Mr. Schlein has more than 40 years of experience in the venture capital, retail and technology industries.

"Phil Schlein's retail and technology expertise helped to shape QRS' strategic vision," said Fetter. "We are grateful to him for his contributions, and I believe his legacy will continue to inform our vision."
