Inovis’ TrustedLink Combines EDI and AS2, Fulfills Product Integration Strategy and Reduces E-Business Costs
Business Commerce Automation Company Integrates Trading Partner Management Product Lines with Latest Release
ATLANTA — July 20, 2004 — Inovis, a leading provider of business commerce automation solutions, today announced the release of the latest version of TrustedLink, its award-winning electronic data interchange (EDI) transformation software. TrustedLink now offers full integration with Inovis’ BizManager line of connectivity products, which support the Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) protocol, providing for the secure transport of EDI documents over the Internet. The new release demonstrates the successful execution of Inovis’ strategy to integrate its EDI data transformation and value-added network (VAN) capabilities with its Internet EDI connectivity solutions.
With support from major retailers, AS2 is increasingly gaining traction in the consumer products and retail industries as a standardized method for communicating EDI documents between trading partners over the Internet, often replacing or coexisting with VANs. Inovis first added support for AS2 and other Internet EDI protocols to its product offering following its July 2003 acquisition of supply chain connectivity company IPNet Solutions. The integration of Inovis’ product lines allows customers to quickly and more cost-effectively implement AS2 support to comply with mandates from trading partners.
"By unifying its product lines, Inovis is better leveraging its full suite of technology and also addresses a real need in the marketplace for combined EDI and Internet technology," said Shawn Willett, principal analyst, Current Analysis. "Linking its data transformation heritage with its Internet-based connectivity products and expertise offers a compelling value proposition for users who must support traditional EDI and VAN environments while migrating an increasing volume of transactions with trading partners to the Internet."
Customers employing TrustedLink for EDI data transformation can now take advantage of integration with the BizManager suite of Internet-based trading partner connectivity solutions. Inovis enables the seamless implementation of new communication options without necessitating major changes to current business commerce infrastructures. Users will experience faster deployments, reduced operating costs and simplified compliance with trading partner mandates.
"Today’s IT departments are faced with declining budgets, reduced resources and the constantly changing requirements of business partners," said Ben Cody, senior director of product management, Inovis. "The product developments engineered over the last year tightly align our business commerce automation offerings and fulfill our commitment to customers. Organizations of any size are assured of continued support for their legacy technology investments and the flexibility to incorporate new technologies as their trading partner communities evolve."
The integration enhancements in TrustedLink are currently available in both the Windows and iSeries releases. For information on pricing and configurations, please contact Inovis at info@inovis.com or 1-877-4INOVIS.
