Nypro Selects Inovis for RosettaNet Solution

Leading Global Precision Plastics Injection Molder to Implement Inovis’ Out-of-the-Box Industry Solution

ATLANTA — August 3, 2004 — Inovis, a leading provider of business commerce automation solutions, today announced that Nypro Inc., a global provider of precision plastics injection molding and related manufacturing solutions, has selected Inovis to implement its RosettaNet solution. Inovis’ IndustryLink for RosettaNet allows Nypro to meet partner communication requirements at an incremental cost while leveraging the company’s previous technology investments.

A key manufacturer and molder of plastic products for Fortune 1,000 companies, Nypro has long conducted business transactions with trading partners using Inovis’ electronic data interchange (EDI) transformation software, TrustedLink iSeries, and value-added network (VAN) services.

As businesses have focused on developing standard B2B processes for supply chains within specific vertical markets, consortiums like RosettaNet have risen. To address these evolving industry-specific standards and continue to conduct business transactions with key trading partners, Nypro sought to implement a RosettaNet solution they could quickly deploy and integrate with the company’s existing data transformation solution.

"Inovis’ business to business enablement solutions have provided us with the technology needed to continue to support our trading partner relationships and facilitate business electronically," said Jay Leader, Nypro’s director of application development. "When looking for a solution provider to support our RosettaNet needs, the choice was easy. Inovis’ IndustryLink solution integrates seamlessly with our existing data transformation software providing an easy to implement, out-of-the-box solution to meet the requirements of our trading partners, quickly and cost effectively."

IndustryLink for RosettaNet, which carries a RosettaNet compliance badge, provides Nypro with an end-to-end solution to handle the industry standard messages, workflow, communication and security requirements. It requires minimal infrastructure investments, provides comprehensive functionality and has a low overall cost of deployment. Nypro is able to build upon its existing technology investments via integration with its current installation of the Inovis’ TrustedLink iSeries translator. This integration along with wizard driven interfaces that hide some of the complexities of RosettaNet shorten the overall time required for implementation.

"Inovis offers a comprehensive portfolio of business commerce automation solutions, providing companies with all of the technology and services necessary to implement an ‘any-to-any’ commerce platform," said Michael Croxton, Inovis’ senior vice president of marketing. "Our wide range of technology solutions provides companies like Nypro with the ability to easily meet new business needs, while continuing to support all e-business initiatives."
