Crystal Hosiery Improves Trading Partner Communications and Data Synchronization with QRS Solutions
RICHMOND, CA – August 10, 2004 – QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI) today announced that Crystal Hosiery, a leading apparel manufacturer and distributor, has signed a contract renewal to continue to use QRS Managed EC™ for communication with its global trading partner network. A QRS customer for more than three years, Crystal Hosiery also uses QRS Catalogue™ for data synchronization with its trading partners.
"Partnering with QRS has enabled Crystal Hosiery to communicate seamlessly with retailers of all sizes, throughout the country," said Juan Diego Calle, Operations Director, Crystal Hosiery. "We are very impressed with the quality of QRS' products, the level of total customer support and the company's extensive expertise in apparel."
QRS Managed EC converts Crystal Hosiery's purchase order, advanced ship notice and invoice information into the format required by each individual retailer, and then transmits the information electronically according to each retailer's preferences. Crystal Hosiery uses the QRS Managed EC File Transfer Service, which delivers EDI documents over the Internet via the file transfer protocol (FTP). The File Transfer Service is well-suited for suppliers who need to integrate their translated EDI documents into their internal systems quickly and easily without maintaining an EDI infrastructure.
By using QRS Managed EC for EDI translation services, Crystal Hosiery is able to meet its retail customers' requirements. "Companies like Crystal Hosiery that don't have a large IT infrastructure depend on QRS solutions to facilitate communication with trading partners and ensure product information accuracy with their retailer customers," said Ray Rike, QRS' Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Field Operations. "We are committed to continuing to meet these needs and providing the quality service customers like Crystal Hosiery have come to expect."
