Inovis Addresses Customer Needs with Strong Commitment to Global Standards and Interoperability

Company Plans to Certify on Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN)

ATLANTA, GA - April 05, 2005 — Inovis, a leading provider of business-to-business solutions and services, announced today its intention to receive GDSN Interoperability Certification for Inovis Catalogue™, the North American retail industry's leading product data synchronization application with over 100 million items.

The test, which will take place later this year, certifies participating data pools as a source, recipient or both for the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), a global, Internet-based initiative that enables trading partners to quickly and efficiently exchange supply chain data that is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with universally supported standards.

"The viability of the GDSN has been predicated on the participation of more, credible data pools within the network," said Gene Alvarez, vice president, META Group. "The addition of experienced service providers with large trading communities would be a key benefit at a very important time and will add needed momentum to the GDSN initiative."

"We have a long history of helping retailers and suppliers realize the business benefits of successful data synchronization, as evidenced by Inovis Catalogue's leadership in data synchronization for the retail market," said Michael Croxton, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Inovis. "Over the past 15 years, Inovis has played an active role in the development of industry standards. Achieving GDSN certification is the next step in our continued commitment to improving global trading partner communication."

The GDSN Interoperability Certification testing program is overseen by the GDSN Board of Directors of GDSN Inc. and conducted by Drummond Group Inc. (DGI), a leading interoperability and conformance testing company. For a data pool to successfully complete the certification process, it must demonstrate full interoperability with all other participating data pools and the GS1 Global Registry using DGI's Interoperability Compliance Process®, a robust interoperability process methodology. Data pools are measured against a set of development standards established by the GS1 GDSN Task Group as well as test plans and criteria defined by DGI.
