ATLANTA, GA - May 18, 2005 — Inovis, a leading provider of business-to-business solutions and services, today announced that the latest version of BizManager successfully completed the AS2 EDI/XML and AS1 interoperability testing for Q1 and Q2, 2005 and has been certified by eBusinessReady®, an industry-neutral software certification program under joint partnership of the Uniform Code Council, Inc. ® (UCC®) and Drummond Group Inc. (DGI). Inovis continues to strengthen its commitment to industry standards support with AS2, AS1 and UCCnet certifications.
AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) is a specification standard that enables users to connect, deliver, and reply to data securely and reliably over the Internet. AS1 (Applicability Statement 1) is a specification standard that enables users to securely transport business data over SMTP/MIME. The interoperability testing for AS2 featured two new optional testing components which provide AS2 end users (manufacturers, retailers and suppliers) with additional tools for exchanging digital certificates between trading partners and creating transactions with multiple documents. The first new optional test added to the AS2-1Q05 test round was Certificate Exchange Messaging (CEM), which is based on a new developing open standard that enables the exchange of digital certificates among active trading partners - without interruption to current trading relationships. The second new optional component involves multiple attachment testing (two or more payload documents), which provides the same security features that are used in single payload AS2 transmissions.
